Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus in Georgia. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will supervise staff, assist with merchandise presentation, and handle deposits and paperwork to maximize profitability and protect assets.

You will also stock and cashier, open and close the store several days weekly, train employees, enforce safety policies, and support store leadership in the Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to perform bank deposits and related cash handling.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise Receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and building displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and controls.
• Implement and maintain planograms; ensure merchandise presentation per guidelines.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability, deposits, refunds, and cash controls; count tills and deposit money.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
