Job summary

Horizon Goodwill in LaVale, MD is seeking a Store Shift Supervisor to oversee daily store operations during the assigned shift, support store management, and ensure efficient sales, merchandising, pricing, and paperwork execution.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, arranging displays and promotions, handling transactions, receiving donations, maintaining a clean, safe store, and adhering to company policies and safety rules. Minimum HS diploma and retail experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year retail experience.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre-screenings (background or drug).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store personnel during the shift.
• Arrange store windows, displays, and promotions.
• Sell merchandise and provide customer service per policy.
• Maintain store premises in a clean, safe, and organized fashion.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Adhere to company policies and complete required paperwork.
• Receive merchandise from warehouse/vendors and verify shipments.
• Process sales on the cash register and handle deposits.
• Perform administrative and clerical store duties.
• Receive donations and transport to designated area.
• Participate in training and perform other duties as assigned.
