Job summary

Murphy USA is hiring part-time Shift Leads to provide prompt, courteous customer service and manage daily store operations. You will handle cash register duties, ensure product availability, and support the Store Manager to reach performance goals.

The role offers quick advancement to Assistant Manager and emphasizes a diverse, inclusive culture. Must be 18+, with cash handling experience and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience.
• Requires minimum 3 months of cashier experience.
• Must be 18+ years of age (19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky, 21 in some states including New Mexico).
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer requests and concerns.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Support the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals and objectives.
• Perform job related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customer’s requests and concerns
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Assistant Manager Salary Range $15.00 - $15.50 per hour

Shift Lead Salary Range $14.50 - $15.00 per hour
