Job summary

Murphy USA is hiring a part-time Shift Lead in Bristol, TN. You will supervise daily store operations, assist customers, operate the register, and help drive sales and efficiency.

The role emphasizes reliable teamwork and strong cash handling while maintaining a clean, safe store environment. Candidates typically have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 months cashier experience, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or at least 6 months related experience.
• Minimum 3 months cashier experience.
• Must be 18+ (21+ in some states) and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience.
• Responding to and resolving customer requests and concerns.
• Operating cash register.
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations.
• Help lead the team to exceed the store’s performance goals.
• Performing job related duties as assigned.
• Backup duties in the absence of management including paperwork and training new employees.

Responsibilities

• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years of age, 19 in Indiana, 20 in Kentucky and 21 in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee, and Utah
• High school diploma / GED, or at least 6 months of related job experience
• Requires minimum 3 months of Cashier experience
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Shift Lead Salary Range: $11.25 - $11.75 per hour

Assistant Manager Salary Range: $12.25 - $12.75 per hour
