Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist to engage with guests and team members, maintain safety, and handle incidents in a fast-paced store environment. You will contribute to a secure shopping experience by using de-escalation, monitoring video systems, and documenting cases accurately.

Training is provided, with flexible hours including nights and weekends, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience while greeting guests.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Respond to and document security incidents in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe store environment and support team members as needed.
• Conduct theft recoveries and support AP policies as required.
