Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a maintenance-focused Team Member to keep floor, seating areas, restrooms, and back offices clean and safe. You will support store teams, perform minor repairs, and assist with supply orders for maintenance while upholding health and safety standards.

No prior retail experience is required; lifting up to 50 pounds and a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, are expected. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong attention to store appearance.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour day.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Able to work in wet and cold environments.
• Able to use box cutters, electric pallet jacks and other heavy machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent maintenance service.
• Performs all duties on the daily and weekly maintenance lists.
• Supports all teams with cleaning projects.
• Performs minor repairs and improvements.
• Participates in ordering supplies required for store maintenance.
• Helps with cleaning emergencies.
• Helps maintain the store's landscaping and parking lot.
• Performs continual cleaning of all store departments.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
