Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking a Store Sales Associate to support our value-priced urban apparel stores. You will process transactions, handle freight, and assist with price changes and markdowns while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. You will also perform basic math and support loss prevention efforts.

Responsibilities

• Process freight.
• Assist with price changes/markdowns.
• Balance cash register according to policy.
• Call out prices for customers at the register.
• Bag merchandise for customers.
• Handle cash, checks and credit cards correctly.
• Obtain management approval for returns, voids, and checks.
• Maintain housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provide customer service: greet customers, enforce fitting room policies, ring up customers promptly, thank customers, invite return.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Maintain professional appearance with name tag.
• Assist management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock levels.
• Assist management with tasks per policy.
• Explain exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Assist Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures.
