Citi Trends is seeking a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We're growing, and this is a great opportunity if you've ever wanted to lead the way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Processing freight
2. Assisting with price changes and markdowns
3. Balancing registers according to company policy
4. Calling out prices for customers during transactions
5. Bagging merchandise efficiently after sales
6. Handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions correctly and following company policies
7. Obtaining management approval for returns, voids, and checks when necessary
8. Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
9. Providing excellent customer service, including greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing up customers promptly, thanking them, and inviting them to return
10. Following all safety procedures
11. Maintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
12. Assisting management with merchandising and stock level management
13. Supporting management with tasks as requested according to company policy
14. Explaining exchange and refund policies to customers after transactions
15. Assisting Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents, and following operational policies

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
