Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Processing freight
2. Assisting with price changes and markdowns
3. Balancing registers according to company policy
4. Calling out prices for customers during transactions
5. Bags merchandise efficiently upon completing transactions
6. Handling cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and according to company policy
7. Obtaining management approval for returns, voids, and checks when needed
8. Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
9. Providing customer service, including greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing up transactions promptly, thanking customers, and inviting them to return
10. Following all safety procedures
11. Maintaining a professional and neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
12. Assisting management with merchandising and stock level management
13. Supporting management with tasks per company policy
14. Explaining exchange and refund policies to customers after transactions
15. Assisting with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting theft or dishonesty, and following operational policies

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
