Job summary

Walmart is seeking a store leadership professional to lead and develop teams, implement company change efforts, and ensure exceptional customer service across store operations in Fairfield. You will supervise hourly associates, set clear expectations, and drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and effective merchandising.

This role emphasizes teamwork, compliance with open-door policy, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams by teaching training and listening to associates; provides feedback and guidance on store operations and business solutions.
• Models exceptional customer service standards and supports customer initiatives to ensure a high quality experience.
• Drives store financial performance by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses; manages merchandising, inventory flow, and shrink control.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring and recognition.
