Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, and visual merchandising. You will drive sales performance, ensure compliance with labor laws, and uphold safety standards while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire and counsel employees in compliance with laws and policies.
• Strong communication, coaching and performance management skills.
• Experience in inventory management, merchandising and basic store operations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees while ensuring proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations and address performance gaps.
• Set pay rate recommendations and track advancement.
• Communicate expectations and lead safety, security and policy adherence.
• Open and close the store as required and manage daily operations.
• Oversee ordering, stocking, merchandising and inventory control.
• Maintain cash handling integrity and store security.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
