Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking an Operations Manager to lead store performance, team development, and daily execution across departments. You will work with store leaders to drive sales, service, and safety standards on the floor, converting strategy into action and coaching team members.

You will gain hands-on experience in inventory flow, labor planning, and merchandising execution, with a clear path to broader leadership opportunities within our growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience leading departments up to 40 team members while driving ops and sales.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills to develop people.
• Solid business acumen with ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Sound judgment and decision‑making in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Ability to complete and maintain required firearms sales certifications and ATF Form 4473 procedures.
