Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is hiring a Logistics Manager to drive the store’s daily operational rhythm. You will lead logistics, merchandising, and receiving with a focus on inventory accuracy, safety, and efficient execution.

Partner with store leaders to translate strategy into consistent in-store results and coach teams across logistics, merchandising, and receiving. You will analyze performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to elevate productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant leadership or management experience required.
• Demonstrated success leading departments of up to 40 team members while driving operational excellence and achieving sales targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people.
• Solid business acumen with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Experience with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to complete and maintain required certifications including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck.

Responsibilities

• Drive the day-to-day operational rhythm of the store to support a seamless customer experience.
• Lead logistics, merchandising, and receiving operations with focus on inventory flow and safety.
• Translate corporate strategy into in-store results and improve productivity and efficiency.
• Balance workforce planning, scheduling, training, and payroll while upholding standards.
• Collaborate with Store Director and leaders to align priorities with business goals.
