Job summary

WorkSource Heart of Georgia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train Store Associates while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
