Family Dollar Stores Of Ohio LLC is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Lorain, OH. You will help with daily activities, merchandise flow, and ensuring store standards.

The role requires retail management experience (preferred), a high school diploma (or equivalent), and strong communication and organizational skills. You will lead frontline staff, uphold safety policies, and drive a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies; supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
