Job summary

Dollar Tree in Birmingham, MI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, support merchandise movement from delivery to floor, and help ensure seasonal areas are well stocked.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior store management experience in retail or grocery, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional displays and store cleanliness to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and training Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional interactions with customers and staff.
