Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Manager, Business Administration to lead essential store operations, staffing, and administrative functions. You will interview, hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members while managing budgets, payroll, and cash office processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Store Leaders, driving profitability, and maintaining a high-quality shopping environment across the store. A high school diploma and retail management experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience in a retail store.
• High School diploma or equivalent is encouraged.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, staffing and scheduling.
• Ability to manage store operations, budgets, payroll and cash office.

Responsibilities

• Drive store scorecard results focusing on hiring, retention, operations and shopping environment.
• Maintain profit through staffing, weekend compliance and controllable expenses.
• Lead in-store hiring process: interview, select and coach peers.
• Interview, hire, train, coach, develop, evaluate and discipline direct reports.
• Manage hours utilization, payroll, cash office and inventory.
• Oversee monthly P&L, selling costs and hourly rate compliance.
• Develop action plans to drive store profitability.
• Collaborate with Workforce Central on staffing and scheduling.
