Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Pontiac to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and supervise store associates to maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to policy adherence and loss prevention. Part-time hours, on-site location in Pontiac.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked store and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash
• Ensure safety guidelines and policies are followed
• Help the Store Manager supervise and train Store Associates
