Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to recruit, hire and train qualified applicants.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store at minimum two times per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and shrink.
• Order to meet or exceed in-stock targets; review ordering plan and inventory issues.
• Facilitate efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise.
