Job summary

Dollar General seeks an experienced Store Manager to lead daily store operations in Indiana. You will oversee staffing, training, performance evaluations, and compliance with policies while ensuring customer service excellence and safe, clean store conditions.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling, inventory management and bilingual communication where required. You will drive sales, manage opening/closing, and coordinate with corporate policies for best-in-class execution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps and counseling as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open and close the store at least two times per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, profitability and opportunities for cost control.
