Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Georgia to lead store operations, staffing, training, and performance management. You will recruit and develop staff, oversee cash handling, merchandising and inventory controls, and ensure safety and policy compliance across daily operations.

You will regularly open and close the store, analyze sales trends, manage ordering and stock, and maintain a high standard of customer service while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory mgmt.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and staff the store.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Communicate performance, safety and policy expectations regularly.
• Open and close the store consistently several times per week.
• Evaluate operating statements and manage inventory, ordering, and pricing.
