Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an experienced Store Manager in Georgia to oversee all store operations, including staffing, ordering, receiving, merchandising and customer service. You will lead a team, ensure policies are followed, and drive sales while maintaining store safety and accuracy.

You will recruit, train, and evaluate employees, schedule shifts, manage cash handling and inventory, and report performance to higher management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; retail experience preferred.
Management experience in retail is preferred and highly valued.
Knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures.
Ability to lead store operations and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel staff as needed.
Communicate expectations and coordinate safety and policies with the team.
Open and close the store with accuracy and consistency.
Monitor sales, inventory, and expenses to identify trends and opportunities.
Ensure merchandise is presented according to standards and fixtures are used properly.
