Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist with daily store tasks, merchandise handling, and implement company directives while promoting a positive atmosphere for customers and associates.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organized operations, and leadership to help supervise staff and ensure a clean, safe store environment consistent with company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support payroll, scheduling, and cash handling with accuracy.
• Maintain clean, organized areas and secure assets.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful work environment.
