Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager focused on leading store operations, staffing, and customer service. You will oversee ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and daily store performance to meet sales goals in a fast-paced environment.

You will recruit, train, and evaluate staff, enforce company policies, and ensure safety and security while maintaining a clean, well-organized shopping space.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; retail mgmt experience preferred.
• Ability to read documents and perform basic math.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees; ensure store is staffed.
• Provides training; conducts performance evaluations; counsels up to termination.
• Makes recommendations on employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicates performance, safety expectations; coordinates meetings and events.
• Ensures store is staffed and opened/closed as required; shifts are covered.
• Evaluates operating statements to identify trends, profitability, and errors.
• Manages ordering plan and inventory; monitors BSR and cycle counts.
• Maintains proper merchandising presentation and pricing signage.
• Keeps accurate inventory; controls damages and shrink.
• Upholds cashier accountability and cash control procedures; supports customer service.
