Job summary

Bosselman Enterprises' Pump & Pantry in Grand Island, NE is seeking a 1st Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations, including licensed programs and business units. In the absence of the General Manager, you will execute key leadership responsibilities and ensure service standards.

The role requires managing scheduling, staff development, inventory control, and compliance with food safety regulations, while delivering friendly, efficient customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as Assistant Manager preferred, with at least 6 months as Sales Associate.
• Associates degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Food Handler’s permit or ServSafe Certification where required by law or policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, discipline, and terminating personnel in partnership with District Manager and HR.
• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly routines, back-office, bookwork, and inventory control are completed accurately.
• Ensure customer needs are met and support customer service standards.
• Supervise cash control and bank deposits.
• Ensure food safety procedures and proper storage/handling comply with regulations.
• Maintain a positive, professional presence and address concerns promptly.
• Assist in scheduling, labor management, and adherence to labor budgets.
• Ensure training completion and records related to merchandise, personnel, and fuel operations.
