Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking an Operations Manager to elevate the store experience, lead teams, and drive operational excellence on the sales floor. You will partner with store leaders to prioritize work, coach staff, and respond quickly to business needs.

By mastering inventory flow, labor planning, and merchandising execution, you will influence results and develop leadership capabilities for broader roles within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience leading departments of up to 40 team members while achieving sales targets.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with ability to develop people.
• Solid business acumen with ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with inventory systems, order processing, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to complete required certifications including Firearms Sales and Power Industrial Truck.
• Ability to audit firearm sales and ensure compliance with ATF processes.
