Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Port Arthur, TX to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise organization, and open/close procedures while upholding company policies and safety standards.

You’ll help train Store Associates, maintain high service levels, and ensure a clean, well-stocked store environment. This role emphasizes service, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store displays and keep areas neat and presentable
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention
• Protect company assets and ensure store safety policies are followed
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, restrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned
