Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking an Assistant Store Director to support the Store Director with overall store operations and performance. You will coordinate and direct activities in the store in the absence of the Store Director, ensuring smooth daily operations and strong customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and bilingual English/Spanish. You will lead a team, drive profitability, and uphold safety standards while modeling company values in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform store manager duties during the store manager's absence.
• Contribute to profitable operation of store.
• Model exceptional customer service and instill it in associates.
• Create an environment for continual learning and open dialogue among associates.
• Provide leadership and motivation reflecting El Rancho's values and vision.
• Directly oversee assigned store's associates with instruction and direction.
• Work with associates to identify root causes of issues and develop improvement plans.
• Interact with customers regularly and remain highly visible.
• Ensure order and security controls in line with company guidelines and safety programs.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and oversee GM/HBC department to company standards.
