Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking aStore Manager to lead all store operations in Warren, OH. You will oversee staffing, training, and performance, ensuring compliance with cash handling, inventory, and safety procedures.

The role focuses on daily store management, customer service leadership, and adherence to company policies to drive store performance. You will be responsible for opening/closing, executing merchandising standards, and maintaining a secure, well-organized retail environment

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents, safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (percentages, totals, etc).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions to generate reports.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and address gaps up to termination when needed.
• Make recommendations on pay and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Open/close store regularly and ensure daily readiness.
• Evaluate store performance on sales, profitability, and stock efficiency.
• Oversee ordering and inventory, plan stock replenishment weekly.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage are correct.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and shrink.
• Ensure cash control and security procedures are followed.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available to perform tasks.
• Adhere to SOPs, handbooks and policies.
