Job summary

BFS Foods in Newport, OH is seeking a General Manager to oversee store operations and lead the management team. You will drive program execution, foodservice safety, inventory control, and customer service excellence to maximize store performance.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and cost-control skills, with responsibility for ordering, receiving, merchandising, sanitation, and payroll processes. This is a full-time, store-based position reporting to the District Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience managing store operations and supervising staff.
• Ability to handle scheduling and labor optimization.
• Knowledge of foodservice sanitation and safety.
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide top quality, fast, friendly service to customers.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate store employees; coach and develop staff.
• Develop store schedules to optimize labor and meet guidelines.
• Manage product ordering, receiving, and build-to levels in POS system.
• Maintain merchandising standards, signage, and pricing accuracy.
• Oversee inventory, costs, and periodic cash audits.
• Execute promotions, roll-outs, and staff training.
• Ensure sanitation, safety, and health standards across all areas.
• Prepare invoices, process cash deposits, and report to home office.
