Job summary

Ames Tool Corporation – San Jose is seeking a capable retail associate to help grow revenues and profitability at the Ames Tools store. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandise displays, handle transactions, and ensure accurate inventory control.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and willingness to cover store hours, including occasional travel to other local locations. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Business, Sales, Construction or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall operation of a tool retail store.
• Open and close the store when the manager is absent.
• Merchandise products and organize showroom and warehouse.
• Report inventory discrepancies or customer issues to the store manager.
• Maintain customer relations and develop new business opportunities.
