Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Levittown, PA to help run daily store operations, assist customers, and develop team members. You will oversee merchandise flow, banking, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a safe, friendly shopping environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, communication, and operational standards, with responsibilities spanning opening/closing procedures, payroll tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, lifting, and bending

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Keep store clean, restrooms stocked, floors swept/mopped, and areas neat
• Other duties as assigned
