Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Store Operations Manager (SOM) to lead key operations across Guest Service, Fresh Production, In-Stock, and Inventory Control. You will partner with the Store Director to deliver exceptional hospitality, a safe shopping environment, and flawless execution every day.

This role requires 3+ years of progressive management experience in retail or hospitality, strong leadership, and proven ability to motivate teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or general business.
• Proven success delivering an exceptional guest experience while meeting performance goals.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Model our values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork in every interaction.
• Provide hands-on leadership to Guest Service, Fresh Production, and other ops support departments.
• Help manage scheduling and labor to stay within labor budgets.
• Be visible on the sales floor, engage with guests, and coach team members.
• Serve as Manager on Duty during shifts, ensuring safety and service.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and inventory management to ensure accuracy.
• Support workload planning and team alignment to meet priorities.
