Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Store Operations Manager to lead Guest Service, Fresh Production, In-Stock, and Inventory Control to ensure impeccable hospitality, safe shopping, and strong execution daily.

You will model our values, coach teams on hospitality, manage scheduling within budgets, and remain visible on the floor to solve problems and uphold food safety standards.

You’ll support audits, inventory accuracy, and daily priorities with a focus on guest experience and team development.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, or hospitality.
• Proven success delivering an exceptional guest experience while meeting performance goals.
• Strong leadership with ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain after hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Model our values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork on every interaction.
• Provide hands-on leadership to Guest Service, Fresh Production, and other departments.
• Help manage scheduling and labor while staying within labor budgets.
• Be visible on the sales floor, engaging with guests and guiding team members.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) during shifts, ensuring safety and service.
• Coach for impeccable hospitality and lead by example.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist audits and follow-up actions to meet standards.
• Support inventory management, accurate ordering, shrink control, and efficiencies.
• Plan workloads and align tasks to meet daily priorities.
