Job summary

Global Partners LP in Winchester, CT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the general manager in daily store operations. You will help manage staff, cash handling, and ensure policy adherence while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

You'll supervise hourly employees, assist with banking and payroll tasks, and promote guest service and promotions, all within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures (outdoors, cooler, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
• Monitors shift cash handling and inventory. Assists in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less as well as inventory variations of 0.5% of sales or less.
• Maintains business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the General Manager and/or Territory Manager.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and/or other administrative duties as requested, adhering to Global Partner's cash control policies.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards - According to Global Partner's store image standards.
• Maintains high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures store is secure and safe; complies with all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Report any issues to proper authority as well as management.
• Ensure adequate gasoline levels as well as coordinate gasoline deliveries.
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
• Promotes a high level of guest service.
• Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures and any other duties assigned by your General Manager/Territory Manager.
