Family Dollar in Ada, Oklahoma is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and supervise store staff in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a focus on safety and compliance. This is a part-time position with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Adhere to directives and store communications related to activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping including payroll and cash deposits
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store floor and stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of store, restocking bathrooms, floors, trash, and neatness
• Other duties as assigned*
