Job summary

Family Dollar in Tulsa is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, assist customers with a positive, helpful attitude, and contribute to team development.

You will help supervise staff, organize merchandise, maintain floor and stockroom standards, handle opening/closing procedures, and ensure compliance with company policies. This is a part-time role in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash.
