Job summary

Family Dollar in Weleetka, OK is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and staff development. You will support the Store Manager and lead Store Associates to maintain standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits
• Maintain stocked and organized store areas
• Protect and secure all company assets
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure adherence by associates
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment
• Maintain cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash
• Other duties as assigned
