Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with opening/closing, organize merchandise, and support loss prevention and payroll duties.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a customer‑focused approach. You will train Store Associates and help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant store environment. This is a full-time position based in Youngsville, PA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
