Job summary

Family Dollar in Pinedale, WY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help organize merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a preference for prior store management experience. This is a part-time position with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support store manager with supervision, training, and development of associates.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect assets and ensure cash handling procedures are followed.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and store procedures.
• Contribute to loss prevention and accurate record-keeping.
