Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandise presentation, deposits, and store paperwork while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees and training; conduct safety meetings and ensure policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, restocking, rotating displays and planograms.
