Job summary

Dollar Tree in Franklin, Tennessee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and ensure the merchandise is well organized on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the capacity to work in a high-energy, team environment. You will help with opening/closing procedures and supervise store associates while upholding

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
