Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role focuses on daily store activities, opening/closing procedures, and ensuring merchandise is well-organized on the floor and in the stockroom.

The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to lift up to 55 lbs, and thrive in a high-energy, team environment while delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
