Job summary

Blarney Castle is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Ludington, MI location. You will help run daily store operations, coach team members, and ensure excellent service, cleanliness, and product quality for customers.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, deposits, safety, and ensuring compliance with laws. This role is on-site with on-call availability and requires a reliable transportation and 18+ years of age.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years progressively responsible retail experience preferred.
• Good math skills for till, inventory, and pricing calculations.
• Ability to read and apply procedures, recipes, and training materials.
• Strong verbal and written communication to leadership standards.
• Able to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literacy with POS, HR, and Microsoft Office proficiency helpful.
• Able to work varying shifts and be on-call for emergencies.
• Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance for banking tasks.
• Age 18 or older due to restricted product sales.

Responsibilities

• Display a customer-first attitude and resolve complaints promptly.
• Support the Store Manager by implementing programs and coaching staff.
• Assign responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide clear, timely coaching to on-shift employees.
• Assist with new employee training and performance feedback.
• Maintain composure during peak times and ensure standards.
• Assist in marketing, fuel, and food strategies and promotions.
• Ensure pricing and inventory levels meet standards; order as needed.
• Adhere to policies and comply with laws and audits.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile daily receipts with variance resolution.
• Coordinate maintenance issues with appropriate teams.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce safety procedures.
• Respond to unusual or emergency situations after hours.
• Perform all work on-site at the assigned store location.
• Follow company policies and complete training deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
