Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Moscow, Idaho seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations and customer service while developing the team. You will assist with day-to-day activities, merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom, and maintaining seasonal displays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and develop staff
• Exceptional customer service, organization, and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
• Other duties as assigned
