Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Buford, GA to help with store operations, customer service and team development. The role involves assisting with day-to-day activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring a well-stocked, clean store.

You will train and supervise store associates, maintain a friendly environment, and uphold company policies. This full-time position reports in a dynamic retail setting at the Buford location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred in grocery, or drug store environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, stocked store and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Keep bathrooms clean, restocked, and floors swept.
• Other duties as assigned.
