Job summary

Dollar Tree in Buford, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, support opening/closing procedures, and ensure promotions are effectively displayed.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. You will train and supervise store associates and uphold safety and company policies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise transfer from delivery to stockroom and floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays for promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain clean, organized store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and ensure policy compliance.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, positive environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
