Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New Jersey to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, deposits, and loss prevention while protecting assets.

You will handle scheduling, training, stock, planograms, cashiering, and open/close shifts, with emphasis on profitability and customer satisfaction.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year in a retail environment with six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform cash handling and basic math.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service leadership; operate cash register and scanner for purchases.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for staff.
• Manage merchandise including receiving, stocking, rotating, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with planograms.
• Support cash control, deposits, and refunds under supervision.
• Assist in store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
