Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Elyria, OH, to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train associates, while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for customers and staff.

This part-time position requires strong communication and organizational skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the drive to maintain high standards in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform extensive walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling loss prevention.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
