Job summary

Dollar Tree in Willowick, Ohio is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily functions, help customers, and ensure seasonal areas are well maintained.

Responsibilities include opening and closing procedures, processing directives, organizing merchandise, overseeing payroll and scheduling, and maintaining a clean, safe store environment while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain areas of the store, including a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom, to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and ensure associates follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
